![]() ![]() My wife is simply looking for a basic photo editing app. I'm beginning to think iPhoto is not included in the software from mid 2010, but you stated iPhoto has been around for a long time. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS." End error message. iPhoto is no longer going to be supported - but I believe if I dont 'upgrade' my library (or upgrade it after keeping a copy for use with iPhoto) then iPhoto will still open in 10.10. You may need to reinstall the application. "Check with the developer to make sure iPhoto works with this version of Mac OS. The error message I get says "iPhoto cannot be opened because of a problem." continues. Trying to find a photo to upload is ridiculous as it can't even find the albums. Is iPhoto supposed to still be in OS X 10.10.3 My impression was that the new Photos app is meant to replace iPhoto - so after you migrate libraries, it seems a redundant to keep both apps. I thought it had something to do with the OS upgrade, so I re-installed the original 10.6.4 from the original disks. I hate, loathe, despise, and want to turn back time to my old iPhoto as I can't stand this new one at all. We don't particularly want to jump through the hoops of upgrading to Mavericks, but I did upgrade to 10.6.8 and that's when my iPhoto issue began (or at least, that's when I first noticed it). The macbook pro (mid 2010) is actually one I bought on ebay for my wife. That update included Photos, an app Apple designed to replace its two. Yes, I knew the post was old, but I'm brand new to forums and don't know how they work. Until today, Aperture and iPhoto were still available for download despite Apple's release of OS X 10.10.3 on Wednesday. ![]()
